Chuck Pruett, Managing Partner A 19-year veteran of the organization, Pruett joined Northwestern Mutual in 1992 as a financial representative and became managing director of the new Murfreesboro District Network Office in 1995. Under his leadership, the Murfreesboro office became one of the most successful units in the country, ranking as a category leader on both the regional and national levels. A leader in his field, Pruett earned the insurance industry’s GAMA International 2011 International Management Diamond Award and Master Agency Top 250 Award. Pruett is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences for Northwestern Mutual. His presentations focus on leadership and strategic management. He recently shared the dais with best-selling management author Jim Collins, who wrote Built to Last, Good to Great and How the Mighty Fall. A graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a B.A. in communications, Pruett served for six years on the MTSU Foundation Board of Trustees. He received the university's Exemplar Award in 2008 for distinguished lifetime achievement in business and industry and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004. Pruett is a member of the advisory board of Regions Bank and the board of directors of the Nashville Symphony Association. In support of the United Way of Metropolitan Nashville, he served as chairman of the 2003 Cockrill Chapter Campaign for leadership giving. He also served as president of the Middle Tennessee Chapter of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors from 1998 to 1999.
